Who we are
Global Tank Technologies is not simply a tank‑monitoring company.
We are an Industrial Visibility, Intelligence & Control Platform that enables operators to monitor, manage and protect critical infrastructure through real-time visual monitoring, intelligent telemetry, remote connectivity and operational awareness.
Monitoring systems have solved the problem of collecting information. What they have not solved is the moment a person has to look at that information, understand it and decide. That moment is where risk accumulates — and it is the moment we design for.
Visibility creates intelligence.
Everything begins with visibility.
When operators can see what is happening in real time, they make better decisions. Better decisions create safer operations. Safer operations create stronger businesses.
Platform capabilities
What the platform does
Six capabilities, working toward a single outcome: the person responsible for an asset knows its condition without having to go and find out.
Visual monitoring
Operating condition rendered as something a person can read instantly, at the asset and from off site.
Intelligent telemetry
Continuous measurement from the assets themselves, turned into status rather than left as a data series.
Remote connectivity
Distributed and unmanned locations brought into the same operating picture as the ones people walk past daily.
Operational awareness
A consistent read on what is happening now across sites, so attention goes where the condition warrants it.
Alerts and notifications
Conditions that need a person are made conspicuous, not left to be discovered on the next round.
Asset-level visibility
Detail preserved at the individual tank while still rolling up into a view of the whole estate.
The product
SHIELD
Visual Asset Intelligence System
SHIELD transforms tank levels and operating conditions into immediate visual intelligence that can be understood instantly from anywhere on site.
See instantly.
Respond faster.
Operate safer.
- Safety — prevent incidents before they happen.
- Visibility — see operating conditions instantly.
- Protection — protect people, assets and the environment.
- Intelligence — turn operational data into immediate visual understanding.
The operating problem
The world’s most critical infrastructure still operates with blind spots.
The greatest risks aren’t always hidden. They’re simply not visible.
Industrial operators rely on manual inspections, gauges, dashboards, delayed reporting and fragmented systems to understand what is happening across critical assets. Each of those is a place where awareness slows down.
- Manual inspections that answer a question hours after it mattered
- Gauges that require someone to be standing in front of them
- Reporting that arrives on a schedule rather than on an event
- Systems that each hold part of the picture and none of it whole
- Level changes that go unnoticed until they are no longer small
- Alerts that reach a screen nobody is watching
A missed alert. An unseen leak. An unnoticed level change. A delayed response. Small moments become costly problems — and delayed awareness becomes delayed action.
What visibility supports
Outcomes operators are working toward
These are the outcomes GTT is built to support. They describe intended operational value, not measured results.
Improved safety
Fewer routine reasons to climb, and earlier recognition of the conditions that create hazards.
Faster response
A shorter interval between a condition changing and a person understanding it.
Operational efficiency
Less guesswork, fewer unnecessary field visits and better use of the crew you have.
Reduced liability
A clearer, more consistent record of conditions and the decisions taken in response.
Asset protection
Attention concentrated on the assets whose failure carries the most consequence.
Environmental stewardship
Earlier intervention, while a developing problem is still a small one.
Where it applies
Built for operators who cannot afford to guess
Energy
Crude, refined product, produced water and chemical storage spread across sites that rarely see a person more than once a shift.
Water & wastewater
Treatment plants, lift stations and distributed storage where a missed level becomes a public and environmental event.
Agriculture
Fertiliser, fuel, feed and water storage spread across acreage, often far from the nearest office.
Chemical & processing
Reactive, regulated and high-consequence inventories where the cost of a late response is measured in more than product.
Industrial infrastructure
Utility, manufacturing and facility storage that keeps the core process running and gets attention only when it fails.
Storage, tanks & terminals
Dense tank farms where throughput, custody and safety all depend on knowing exactly where every level sits.
The GTT difference
Most systems tell you. GTT shows you.
Telling requires reading, interpreting and deciding. Showing collapses those steps into recognition — which is the fastest thing a human being does.
Told
- Status lives on a screen somewhere else
- The number needs interpreting before it means anything
- Different roles read different sources
- Understanding arrives after the walk back
- Attention follows a schedule
Shown
- Status is legible at the asset and from off site
- The condition is recognised before it is analysed
- Everyone reads the same visual reference
- Understanding arrives where the work happens
- Attention follows condition
GTT does not necessarily replace the monitoring systems you already run. It is designed to make the information they hold more visible, more intuitive and more actionable.
Solutions
Organised around the problem, not the product
Tank level visibility
Level information exists, but it is not where the decision gets made. Someone climbs a ladder, squints at a gauge, or opens a screen in a different building.
Remote asset monitoring
Assets sit at sites nobody visits daily. Status is inferred from the last field report, which may be hours or days old.
Operational awareness
Information is fragmented across systems, screens and shifts. Building a picture takes longer than acting on it should.
Safety & risk reduction
Routine checks put people on ladders, on roofs and next to product they would rather observe from a distance.
Spill & overfill prevention
Overfills are rarely caused by missing data. They are caused by data nobody looked at in time.
Environmental protection
Small releases become reportable events largely because of how long they run before discovery.
Instant visibility. Smarter decisions. Safer operations.
